Tibetan youth congress has requested us to help them on their world health day program. We were invited to assist them set up the awareness stall in the main square of Mcloed ganj and for an awareness talk about Sexual Transmitted Infection. The theme of this year’s world health Day is communicable diseases and centre of disease control has marked the month of April as a month of STI awareness. Read more

World AIDS day on 1st December 2010, Kunphen has joined with Choice HIV/AIDS initiative and Department of Health, CTA in organizing World AIDS day commemoration. The theme of this year’s world AIDS Day was ‘Universal Access and Human Rights’. Global leaders have pledged to work towards providing universal access to HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care, thus recognizing these as fundamental human rights. Valuable progress has been made in increasing access to HIV/AIDS services, yet greater commitment is needed around the world if the goal of universal access is to be achieved. Millions of people continue to be infected with HIV every year. In low- and middle-income countries, less than half of those in need of antiretroviral therapy are receiving it, and too many do not have access to adequate care services. Read more

Department Of Health (CTA) has invite Kunphen centre for substance to attend meeting and workshop on preventing substance dependence in Tibetan schools. The organizer of the meeting, Department of Health (CTA) has generously invite us as the a speaker to some session. This meeting was for two days and the main aim of the meeting was to help school authority and students bodies to prevent substances misuse in their school.
Among the attender there were staff and students different Tibetan schools.
